Trying to get information about my Great Grandpa Robert Keown. I know he was born near Belfast, Ireland around 1824. Married Nancy Mitchell, who was born around 1827 in Ireland. One son Thomas born in Ireland, August 26, 1845. Robert and Thomas emigrated to Baxter, Ontario, Canada around 1854, leaving Nancy and a second son Robert, junior in Ireland. Nancy came to join her husband later, leaving Robert, junior with relatives. Robert, junior was a seaman when he was 14 years old. He didn't come to Canada until around 1898 to join his parents. Like to know about their relatives and life in Ireland? Also what ships they came across the Altanic Ocean on? | |||||||||||||||||||||||
